I know very little about this so... hey guys i know very little about axles and such so here is my question...
i have 3.08 gears in my car now. i want to upgrade to 3.42's and a posi unit. will i have any problems with my axles? they are V6 axles and im swapping in an LS1. i can get the posi and gears for cheap so thats y im doing it. thanks guys!

They are the same between V6 and V8's.
The only difference is the spline count, make sure the posi and the axles you are working with match.
Somewhere in the middle of 1990 they switched from 26 spline to 28 spline.
