what drivetrain would I need?
I'd like for my car to be running 11's with all bolt ons, a 3400-3600 stall, and a 22X or 23X cam in awhile. I figure I'll be putting out less than 400rwhp and I need the cheapest rear end that can reliably hold that power, and 1.6X 60's for a long time. I don't think I'll ever be able to run those kinds of times with my planned mods, but I'd like to know that my car won't fall apart if I do.
I heard someone say that on an A4 a built 10-bolt will do just fine for mid 10s and now I'm pretty curious.

I was kinda of in the same place as you are and went with a strange 12 bolt. Check out my mod list. Also recommend going through Steve at SJM Manufacturing, great service!

Moser 12 bolt (two days after order is taken, it is ready to ship) with a Truetrak center your choice of gear, 33 spline axles, ABS or ABS/TCS, and the Performance Cover is $2,350.00 plus shipping. This rear would be a good one to go with got your car. Bob
