8.5 rear differance What is the differance between the new gm 8.5 rear end like in a 1/2 ton silverado and an old one like in a camaro other than the obvious things like spring perches and shock mounts? what i am wondering is if a 30 spline locker for a new 8.5 would work in an old 8.5 with new axles.
