Default new gear whos are best?

I have a 7.5" rear with a 2 series carrier. Stock HP with a 3400 convertor. I'm thinking 4.11 or 3.90. I wanted to ask whos gears to buy and what backlash to use on the ring gear (side to side). I was thinking around .008 to .012. Anyone with any thoughts? I prefer quiet gears like the factory ones.

Like I have explained many many times before there is no 'best' gear...lots of companies make suitable gears...SLP/AAM, Motive, Richmond, Yukon, etc. If you want quiet, Motive is generally a good idea...

Your backlash will depend on what gearset you buy, there will be an instruction sheet with the gears that will tell you the appropriate measurements...but .008-.012 is the general area that you will be setting it to, yes...

My 4.10 Superiors whined like a bitch, OEM 4.10s that replaced them make very little noise.
