Default how much fluid in rear 10bolt

im tryin to change my gear fluid but i dont know how much it takes to fill it up. also, anyone recommend a certain brand of gear additive or gear fluid. i know im supposed to use 75w90 right?

Jesus with a party hat on....

Just get 2-3 bottles and a tube of limited slip additive if you have an auburn. 75w90 or 80w90 is fine. Brand doesn't matter.

yea, and as far as filling it, its usually 2 quarts, but put it in til it starts leaking out the filler cap. My 12 bolt recomended 3, but could only fit a little over 2

whats an auburn? how do i know if i have one?

Your only two choices are Auburn or Alabama.

It is auburn or torsen and you can tell by looking at it. Yellow springs = auburn. No springs and a paddle holding the axles out = torsen. You should really try the FAQ at the top of the page.

thanks for the reply.. i have an auburn. I did check the FAQs but it didn't say how to tell which one you have
