Default Busted GM 3.73 gears should I go 4.10?

I was having problems with a vibration just found out it was a busted 3.73 pinion gear. Should I upgrade to a 4.10 setup or go back 3.73? And which brand would you prefer? Like I said I have a GM 3.73 ratio

i wouldnt try it man, very precise stuff, mess it up and you'l be looking for a new gear set all over again. if you broke your last set id step up to richmonds, there a lil noisier cause of ther high nickle content but there the strongest

Number etching is quite common on gear sets direct from multiple manufacturers. I wouldnt go as far as saying that they were used based on this information.

well had i know it was that easy to install gears(even though I had a time frame) I would of put them in but I had spare 3.42 around so I put them in. In a couple weeks ill put in 4.10's. I can feel tyhe difference between 3.42 to the 3.73 so I couldnt even imagine what 4.10's are like
