Default 4.10's in WS6

Hello all. Just installed 4.10's this last weekend and wanted to write a little review for anyone who is interested. The gears made the car a lot more fun to drive with the lower ratio. At 70 mph the car runs about 2k. RPM which is still ok with me. From a roll at any point in first gear the car will spin the tires hard, yet you can still get it to hook with proper throttle control. The gears that I used were Motive Gears from speed inc. they are very quite with a small amount of whine (no worse than the original 3.42's) overall I think they were a great selection and I am glad that I did not go with the 3.73's. If anyone has any questions feel free to post or pm.

Just had 4.11's installed yesterday, I have a bolt on car and they work great, a perfect match with the t-56. I rev 2k at 70 as well. I wouldnt want any more, I am used to my stalled auto so its no biggie

I put in GM 4.10s last week, and they made driving my cammed car so much easier. Despite having a tune, my car still liked to buck at around 30 to 35 mph in 4th gear...well...it was at the virge of bucking. And when it was cold, it was a bitch to drive without looking like a fool! Not anymore! Now it drives almost like stock, I got all my bottom end torque back and then some....I am very happy!

get it retuned, gears help but cammed cars can be cranky and not the tune has to be fooled with for driveability sake.

I put gm 4.10 in my car last week also, spent 8 hours doing it i nthe garage, but I took my time to make sure everything was right. Knock on wood theres no wine. ANd yes they do wake the car up. My brother coudln't believe what a difference, so he wants 4.10's in his TA now.

I will bitch about one thing, it's very very hard to keep my foot outa it ...lol Trying not to burn the tires up too fast
