Default Fluids...

I am planning on changing my rear-end fluid..any suggestions on what to use? I've heard different things about synthetic vs. the stock fluids.. Also is royal purple a good way to go? And for the engine coolant, I've also heard the green coolant is better than what GM puts in (redish colored coolant) is this true? thanks

You'll find a lot of discussion about rear end fluids.

Personally? I use what is recommended in the manual. Don't forget the additive if you have an auburn limited slip.

I would stick with the orange Dex cool that came with the car. I have never experienced any problems with it...and if you did want to change, that would take a good amount of flushing (green + orange = gummy mess).
