Moser Rear End Lug Studs
I have a moser 12bolt rear in my car and i was wondering (after watching a car SNAP ALL 5 studs off)................When should i start being concerned if my car will do that. What kind of 60ft. times shold i take xtra precaution of breaking off the studs and RIP the whole quarter panel to pieces?

I've never seen it happen, but I've heard of it happening. It is hard to say though if when that happens if the wheel was loose or not prior to breaking off the studs. With your 1.6 60ft times you shouldn't need to be concerned, but for piece of mind you could install ARP wheel studs. Bob

You should be good to go as long as you got the racing studs from Moser. I think they are the 1/2 x 20 studs. I watched a friend of mine sheer his studs off, but he got the soft studs with his Moser instead of the racing studs. I think he told Moser that he was running stock type wheels, so they sent the shorter soft studs.
Other than that keep a constant check on the lug nuts and you will be fine with low 1.5 60's

i agree with everyone else, they are probably the cheapest part you can buy for your car. Get a set and forget about it. You will feel much better knowing that you can launch the car not worrying about your wheel flying off. If you dont, i can guarantee everytime you see that green light flash on you are going to have that thought in the back of your head saying "oh god please dont break"....
