i have a 94z lt1 with only bolt ons with an auto trans. should i be worried about breaking the ten bolt with my setup if i go 4.11s. i have a 2000 stall in it as well. really need some opinions.

The automatic transmissions just aren't as hard on rear ends as the six speeds...if you don't have the $2000-$2500 to spend on a 12-bolt, I don't think just putting those gears in your 10-bolt would be a death sentence.

I went 11.20s on 1.6 60 fts no problem in my previous a4 car with a budget cam only 100 shot setup and the 10 bolt never flinched. I wouldn't worry about it with the a4, and at your power level you'll have even more piece of mind.

FYI, it would be 4.10s though, 4.11s would be for the 9 inch

i have a 10 with 4.10 in it now for 3 months full exhaust slp cold air intake kit true duels 6 speed racen all day built by a 20year gm master mechanic .

They make 4.11s for the 10 bolt.
