What tire size and offset for narrowed 12 bolt?

What tire size and offset for narrowed 12 bolt? I'm looking into buy a narrowed 12 bolt that has been shortened 3" on each side. It has fit into a 4th gen lt1 car and has all the provisions for LCA's, TA Brakes ect. Right now I have a 15/8 welds with a 5.5 backspacing. If the rear end is narrowed 3" on each side, and I want to run a 10" rim, will a 15/10 with a 3.5 backspace be okay? I want this to go in with no cutting of anykind. Let know what you think. On a standard 10 bolt you will have a 7.5" back spacing on a Weld rim. If you housing is narrowed 3" per side then I would test fit a set with 4.5" of back spacing. Most tire places will only let you test fit the rim without a tire mounted.
