Mine has 19K on it, no problems. As for the TPMS sensors, I have been through a bunch because I've changed wheels 3 times. No issues.

What is your budget like? The reason that I ask is that a few months ago I was in the market for an SS. Most of SS's were between $28k-$35k depending on options. They really seem to hold their value. A typical 2010, will have 40-50,000 miles on it, and be out of the bumper-to-bumper warranty. I stepped up and got a brand new 1LE for $36997, but I could have gotten a base 1SS for roughly $33xxx. Full 3 year bumper-to-bumper warranty, 5 year powertrain warranty, and the new MyLink touch screen setup.

Nothing over 40k, but the wife doesn't understand why we "have to have a v8"

You could get something like this for around $358xx with the supplier discount:

It's a 2014 1LE in Blue Ray Metallic, with the Boston Acoustics sound system. MSRP is $37,445

Or you could pick up a brand new leftover 2013 SS for right around $30k

Good and bad news, she drove the ss and the ls and she is hooked on the V8! But we didn't find 1 that had everything we wanted. The search will continue!
