New 15-1LE owner-what PD for 700 wheel?
Just ordered a 15-1LE. Gonna do the usual bolt ons that should net me anywhere from 460-470 rwhp-cam, headers, CAI. I would typically then slap on a Centri and make 750-800 wheel with my eyes closed but this time I want to try something different.
I've been looking at the new SLP 2300, Whipple 2.9, Edelbrock tuner kit.
Tuned a couple 427 Vettes that made 675-690 rwhp with the Edelbrock but IAT's are 120+ at the top. Tuner kit price is pretty cheap and usually there kits are pretty much plug and play.
The SLP kit I was told I need to buy a heat exchanger for the tuner kit-kit looks nice though-price not bad-heat exchanger cost no idea?
Whipple looks sweet-not sure what else I need with the tuner kit-but man that's a pricey blower. Couldn't find install instructions anywhere.
All of the kits are pretty scary when I can get an ECS kit for dirt cheap compared to any of those kits and make even more jam.
School me guys or should I just stick with a Centri?
TIA!

Cetri will get you there easier. Only PD I see making 700+ is the whipple 2.9. The other blowers are pretty much maxed at that point. If you want to be different turbo it.

Hi Arun.
When I was doing my research on a PD blower for my Camaro.
Whipple seemed to be the way to go.It had a bigger intercooler and because it's bigger(2.9L vs 2.3L) it don't need to spin that hard and cause heat issues. Some have made north of 700RWHP too.
The new Heartbeat might be an option though, still a new unit.
I wanted something different,so I decide to go with the AGP twin turbo instead. I'm happy with it so far.Haven't driven it much.Too busy working on other people's Vette's. lol....
If your not a dealer with Whipple, let me know,I might be able to help you out.

Lol....
agree, for the price, the ECS is hard to beat.i think you have enough experience with those centri setup anyway.l
Actually, come to think of it,the Whipple might have a clearance issue on the newer Camaro's 14-15 models. But not 100% sure.
You do know that the Camaro is heavier than the Vette's your use to work on.
You might need more than 700rwhp to be happy. Lol.....
