New track best for Nemesis - 2010 F1R Camaro - 6.15 @ 114mph (1/8)
Some of you may have heard of this car in the GM High Tech mag, it was featured last August. This is a 2010 Camaro that originally began its life as an L99 car. The customer went through a couple different set ups on the stock motor, and eventually it let loose when a methanol line melted (not installed by us).
We did a 418ci bottom end (TSP) for him a couple years ago, topped it with WCCH heads, cam by us here at PCM of NC. Added a procharger F1R with cog drive (we also have a bracket solution for this which keeps the blower from walking forward, which it will on the stock bracket from procharger). Few other goodies here and there like a 4L80e swap using our swap harness, a driveshaft shop 9" rear, etc.
This is a street car, customer drives it quite a bit. He ran it at the track a few times on the Pfadt suspension (street susp. package not drag) and the best was a 6.50-6.60 in the 1/8th mile with 20" wheels and tires.
We decided to swap over to a more serious suspension set up as our customer was getting more interested in drag racing (it's hard not to get hooked!). We went with the Extreme Innovations suspension/braking set up, which features custom parts by them, Wilwood brakes, Afco shocks/coilovers.
It looked awesome with the new stance,
We went back to the track this weekend. I'm not sure of the DA; it was about 65 and decently humid for being only Feb here.
His new best is a 6.15 @ 114mph, and was able to back it up as well. Then he drove the car to the movie theater, because it is a street car after all.
Here are a few more track pics and a video that he made (he plasti-dipped the fenders just for that day).
The car still has more left in it but we were very happy with this for its first outing with the new suspension!

No, stock crossmember actually with poly mounts (stock style). We would have done things differently (like more drag-oriented parts) from the beginning, but originally he had no intentions to hit the track believe it or not!

Any cage in this car? If he's serious about racing you may want to educate on everything that he'll need to do on a car that fast. Won't be a street car with a 10 point cage. Lol
