Question [LS6 vid] what's this noise?

as far as i know, some "ticking" is normal for LSx engines. i read it could be lifter noise, the oil filter or maybe a loose spark plug. all belts have been replaced just half a year ago. the car is a 2003 z06 with about 39k miles, only mods are upgraded valve springs, borla xpipe, borla stingers catback. last oil change was two months ago.

i've only started noticing it recently (maybe since i started driving with the windows up, because i usually drive with the windows down and the exhaust is too loud lol). so i'm wondering if this is normal or if something is going on. oil/water temps are fine, oil pressure is fine, voltage is fine. the car itself is running just fine. no stuttering, no loss of performance etc.

as far as valetrain noise and tapping that sounds just like an lsx motor however the squeak noise in there sounds like a pulley take off the idlers and regrease the bearings. theres a writeup on here on how to do it.

+1 on pulley noise, maybe a bad tensioner (sp) bearing.

Shoot a little WD-40 on the belt while its running and see if the noise stops for a few seconds. If it does then the belt needs replacing. If it does not go away then I like the greasing idler pulley suggestion.

Idler pullys. I had the very same noise coming from the A/C static and spring tensioned pullys. I threw on a new belt at the same time. Quiet as a mouse now.
