Default 6.0 LQ 4 cam change

I have 6.0 LS that I want to put a mild cam in and put it into my 69 Chevelle.
My question is how much lift will the stock head take without running into retainer to guide interference? Will the LS-7 cam work in this engine? I know there are a couple of different timing chains. If the lift is changed do you always have to change pushrod length? Thanks

Your best bet would be the PSI maxlife beehive springs, new LS2 chain($40),
7.425 hardened pushrods, and EPS 222/226 custom Geoff Skinner cam. This
combo will give you a slight bump at idle, great all around power to 6500, and
enhanced mileage. You can even port the factory oil pump housing and shim
the bypass spring for additional pressure.
