How many miles has your LS1 gone without having to overhaul it?

My Friends 04 Chevy 1500 has a vortec 5.3 with is an LQ block and has over 330,000 miles on the truck and its the original engine. He has been through two trannys and two or three rear ends but the engine is holding strong.

Got my answer
Well... its been just over a year since I opened this thread, and at 264,441 miles my head gasket sprung a leak on the drivers side (steam shoots out the front from between the head and block), and the engine now leaks massive amounts of oil, through several small leaks throughout the entire engine, my power steering pump is completely shot (fluid completely drains out after about 2 days of driving it), and one of the pulleys (probably the power steering as well) squeaks non stop.
So the answer to my original question was 264,xxx mi. i could just try to replace the headgaskets, seals, pulleys, and power steering, but not sure how much longer the engine will hold out, so i decided it's time for a new one...
Time to save up for that LS3!

I just bought a 2003 Suburban that was used for transporting railroad crews and engineers...394,000... 5.3 still sounds good...trans and transfer both shot. Seats, carpet, steering wheel very well worn.
(This 5.3 is going in my 1972 Greenbrier Chevelle wagon. I'll report back when it gives up.)
