Rant: Don't send a daily driven cars transmission to Tick.
My friend doesn't have an account here, so I thought I would throw this out there for everyone.
May 27 - Pulled the trans out.
May 28 - It was sent out via ups
May 31 - Tick received it
June 14 - He finally got a call from them with an update
They informed him of all of the new parts he would need. This means it took them 2 weeks to tear down his trans.
He sent them payment for the extra parts that same day, about 15 minutes after he hung up the phone.
It's June 25th now, no Transmission.
So much for 5-10 days, considering they didn't even try to contact him until after 2 weeks. You would expect if they are backed up they would tell people, but I guess that is too much to ask when you are only dealing with a couple thousand dollars worth of parts.

So you're complaining about one of the best T56 rebuilders because they have taken a few extra days on a trans that isn't even yours? Tell your buddy to either grow a pair and deal with it or pay twice as much and have it done local.
