Agreed! I was a bit worried because I believe it's on stock plugs and wires.

Does a spare 10 bolt count? :lolsign:

As some of you know I have been on the fence with selling this.... right?

Well I think I have came to my senses and I'm going to keep it.

I have had thoughts of starting the disassembly this fall. But I am still unsure of if I should pull the motor or not. This is the garage I have tow work with (not the best picture)

It's on the small end that's for sure. My coworker has a hoist I could use but I'd be pushing it with having in it on there for more than a week. I don't want to over welcome my stay. I did my a4 to m6 swap at his place but I was in and out over a weekend.

Would it be a complete pain doing this on the ground? I swapped out my cam swap on my old lt1 in a garage at my parents but it was a double garage with all of the tools I'd ever need. Along with it being headed and perfectly even floors.

Really I only need to get the oil pan out to tap it for the oil return line from the turbo and I need to swap my k member as well. Maybe do those 2 things on the hoist?

I'm still unsure if I plan on doing heads or a cam. I know "do it once and right the first time" but that doesn't go with a stock bottom end either.

I'm also not trying to break any records or burn down the streets either. Just a fun reliable cruiser.

I'd love to cam it but that is just going to turn into a snowball of things I'll need.

I'm still leaning towards an on3 turbo. I know it's best to go with a borg or a Turbonetics but it seems to be Poole that are running the 76s are pretty happy. The cost of a Turbonetics could really pay for an on3 turbo, good wastegate and a set of 80lb injectors. Food for thought.

New pic for your viewing pleasure from lastnight.

I just started a new thread in the forced induction section that's more turbo based to get some questions answered

It crossed my mind. I have a few upgrades around the house I wouldn't mind putting the money towards.

Just an update to all, I ended up selling the car about a month ago. I really intended on keeping this one for awhile but the money was going out quicker than it was coming in. I also am getting married next year and could use the cash. Oh well, there are plenty of fbodys out there.

I love reading threads like this. Great pictures and details. That SOM looks great.

Too bad you sold it, but like you said, there are others...
