Default A sit down interview with THEE Brian Tooley

I run a site that mainly deals with shop interviews, track visits, motorsports in general. Had the chance to sit down with Brian of BTR for some Q&A, thought you guys might get a kick out of it!

After reading all kinds of cam profiles and manufactures, I decided to go with a BTR cam for my truck. I just can't decide between the truck stage 2 cam or the truck stage 3 cam. My setup is a 3800# 1985 C/10 with a 6.0, 4L80, and 3.73 gears. 11.4:1 compression, shortie 1 7/8 headers, TBSS intake and stock torque converter.

I'm looking for a driver that makes as much power and torque in the RPM range used on the street. I know stage 3 and stage 4 cams sound great and make more power, but is that power out of my reach on the street? Just curious which cam Brian would recommend in this specific application.

Since you have a lighter truck, more displacement and plenty of compression I would recommend the Stg III Truck cam.

Thank you Brian. Your stage 3 truck cam is what I'll go with. Nothing beats getting advise from the cam designer himself. Much appreciated
