I changed my pushrods for a new cam. Put the cam in last week and reused old rods, they were .15 too short. Installed 3/8ths rods today. Rods fit easily and not touching heads. Turned the engine by hand while adjusting the valves. After all were adjusted I could still turn by hand. Removed a couple spark plugs disconnected the battery.

Put it all back together and now it won't start. I hear the starter spin but the engine does not turn over. It was running before putting in the new pushrods, not great but running.

Any Ideas?

I am not sure if you have to align the starter but if it is not engaging the flywheel, the motor isn't going to turn over.
