Corvette ZR-1 windshield deflects radar?

Corvette ZR-1 windshield deflects radar? So, i just heard about this today. supposedly lotus made the windshield (its about 5 grand). It is supposed to reflect UV rays so that the interior of the car will not fade. Now, the material they used is supposed to also reflect police radar, making the car stealth. has anyone else heard about this? can anyone verify it?

Sounds like a bunch of bullshit someone spewed to you. Reminds me of that guy that called into a radio station saying the paint on his Iroc reflected radar guns.

how would something as small(in contrast to the whole car) be able to make the entire car invisible? Also, if this was true, I think it would have been made into other windshields to get around cop radars. Lat but not least, ever see mythbusters when they pretty much test everything against a radar gun ona car and non of it worked.

Ah this thread makes me laugh. Lets build stealth cars to avoid police radar...ah that funny.

i live in bowling green, where corvettes are made every day. the now c6 models have a hard time getting picked up on radar b/c the way the radiator is positioned. our state troopers go to the plant all the time to see why they cant be clocked. that just for corvette, dont know bout other gm cars

Reflect Radar? lol.. that would make the car even easier to catch! If you wanted something to be invisible to Radar it would have to absorb radar. Now days police radar gus car soo advanced I doubt there is anyhitng that will make a car invisible to radar. May be harder to catch if there are lots of other cars around but still hard to defeat.
