SLP dual/dual was used in the 345hp option. Not the same as the base SS/WS6, and not the loudmouth. Actually, it's not even the same system that SLP sells as the aftermarket dual/dual. It was a special dual/dual muffler issued by SLP.

As for your current WS6 muffler, the only performance difference between that and the Z28/Formula/Trans Am muffler seems to be the 2.5" outlets/tail pipes vs. 2.25" for the base systems. Any power difference is likely within a dyno's margin of error.

no to ruffle your feathers but I have gotten gold out of junk yards when it came to different cars (ls400 lexus) but man don't do that to your car! Put nice stuff in there! A gorgeous exhaust system is probably the best one all thingyou can get accompany that with a lid and you are the man! Seriously though if you want to do something cool and stick with something that was orginially offered with a brand new f-body, do this, go get a GMMG exhuast! look at their site! They made stuff on production cars and only make one system, the one for you car and the premium tips fit perfectly with the trans am rear bumper. The sound is mellow at any cruise but purrs like a european exotic when under power! It's perfect and opens up well, I can't say enough about how perfectly it fits and sounds! The only other thing is true duals but really don't fit at all with what you seem to want to do with your car! It was production at one time, is gorgeous to look at, offers much more power without sacrifice to drivability, no tune required, looses pounds. One downside.....expensive! Check it out on LS1 sounds or find someone with one. You can't miss it when you see it. You will never be dissapointed, unless for some reason you pull up to guy with a good cam, headers, and true duals. Then you will be disapointed and scared....probably. I know i wanted what you were looking for and was scared to jump off of that cliff but can't say enough about never looking back. Plus with so many guys hooked to modding like crack, can this many people really be wrong?
