Weighed my car..
I weighed my car today at the track, with me (165 lbs) in it and about an 1/8 of a tank, no back seat or tire/jack it weighed 3550. Toward my last run it weighed 3545 but I had almost zero gas by then. Is this good or bad? I weighed it 3 times and it was consistent, along with the other guys there having consistent weights as they have had before. Is this good or bad?

You guys also have to know that these scales need to be calibrated. At my work large crate scales are calibrated only once a year.
So if you ever wonder if the scale is off here is what you can do:
Drive up on the scale and stop, write down what your car weighs with you in it.
Get out of the car and see what the weight is of the car alone.
If you know your own body weight add it to the car only weight and see what you get.
If you dont know your body weight, get in the car pull it off the scales and walk up and get on the scale. Write down your weight with just you there standing on it, alone.
See if any of the numbers add up, I know a few times here at Houston Raceway the scales are way off sometimes.
Peace,
Craig.

his weight reduction mods were:
"...well car had LT;s with no cats, replaced front skidplate with SLP lightweight one, removed Y brace from under car (used for trailer hitch attachment, removed spare and jack, fuel tank brace, and I think thats it..."-GTO Owner
PS, says its lighter now
