Default what products would you want to see in a store?

im looking in to starting a aftermarket parts store and internet store and before i do this im looking in to what parts everyone would want to see in the store and on line. first i would start it as fbody and mustang parts and then go to only domestic cars. and i would deff be a sponsor on here since i spend most of my day on this site.

so what parts would you want to see me selling to you?

Brian Greene Ram Air is what you're thinking of.

As far as your store, are you looking to be LS1 specific, open to everything including imports, domestic only, etc. etc.

Pretty much everything that is available for f bodies (stangs too if that's what you wanna get into). You can't sell it if you don't have it.

I have a question for you though....what is it that is going to set you apart from the thousands of other places that sell performance parts?

well in my area i would be the only place that actually sells performance parts. on the internet i would try to have parts that are harder to find and try to give the best prices compared to my competitors and obviously try to keep topnotch customer service. maybe free shipping for most things, and to ls1tech a discount on everything that i have on the site.

How about prostars and draglites in the correct sizes and backspacing to fit our cars, maybe in a kit with lugs, correct length studs and any spacers needed. Ya know, Make it idiot proof.

i like the packages idea. If there were better ones out there i bet lots of people would go this route. simply because its easier and less hassle trying to do all the research and assemble it yourself. Like for example if you offered a "low end full exhaust package" with pacesetters, off road Y, and Loud mouth at a good price and then middle range package like Hookers, Y, and Magnaflow, and a high end like "Kooks/QTP y, and borla /corsa. so that way there is a flavor for everyone.

Do this with intake packages as well, or better yet offer a "Full bolt ons package" where a guy could do all the boltons in one step for a good price. I bet come tax return season you'll sell the package deals like hotcakes.

Also how about you dyno test EVERYTHING you sell on a bone stock LS1, and post before and after graphs to prove hp/tq claims.

The only ones now are the SLP performance pacs and they are total garbage. Wayy over priced and wayy inflated claims, yet people still buy them. You can get all the parts in the performance pacs for way less, which is why not a ton of ppl go this way. But, if you put together packages from different manufactures and price it reasonable people would be all over it.

Packages could extend to suspension, head/cam, intake, exhaust, nitrous, forced induction... naturally you gotta still sell everything individually, but if you can save some money say like 10-15% off in package form, i know id buy it that way...

sell a lot of things in big money-saving packages ie...

---header back exhaust... hooker coated header with a off road or catted y and a hooker aerochamber cat-back and call it like a "Dirty Hooker Kit" since exhaust is dirty.

---H/C packages...

---Lid and Filter packages for like $100 or somethin....

---Intake manifold packages with valley bolts, fuel rails, injectors, TB's, etc.

I think if you did all that you would do some good business...people are always looking to do all those things at around the same time and they would be more likely to do it if everything came in a package where they could save maybe $100 or $200 as compared to when they buy everything separate.

anybody second this?
