so yesterday i was sitting in traffic at the big rod run in this area when out of nowhere i thought i heard my fuel pump whining. wasnt really a weird noise it just sounded a little louder well i didnt think anything about it til later on when i get some clearance in traffic and i start to get on it a little and the car just bogs down. it runs fine if i just give it a little gas at a time but if i lay into the pedal the car just falls on its face. does the whining noise mean my fuel pump is going bad?????? btw i drive a 98 SS

also CEL came on a few weeks ago and when i checked it, it said o2 sensor but then it just randomly went away(CEL) and came back on this morning due you think the o2 sensor going bad could have anything to do with this????

I just posted the same problem with my 98 WS6 yesterday. Thinking it's the fuel pump but looking for others opinions.

I have it in the fueling and external engine sections.

yeah thats what happened with mine its just weird it started all of a sudden
