I have owned several police package caprices and I currently daily drive a P71 Crown Vic, trust me the "police chip" is a myth, theres no such thing and as far as I know the B4C uses a stock GM Z28 Pcm tune

There's really no reason why GM would have put a hotter calibration in these cars since the were LS1 Camaros..That was enough for the job they were used for..They(FHP) said felt that the mere fact they were in a Camaro was enough to stop a chase before it started just because of the 'deterrance" factor.

i love how they always say it's a chipped Camaro when they explain the chases. They do it just to sound cooler. Half the cars on here would blow a B4C Camaro off the road. Although if i was getting pulled over by one i would stop just to see it then ask if i can take a cool picture with the squad

On a side note, I saw an SS in FHP service, complete with black and tan paint job and low profile lightbar down in the Keys back in 2005. It made me do a double-take.

they also make bad ace stuff such as there G5X series LS1 cams and there G7X's for the LS7 which can make close to if not more than 600rwhp cam only.

sweet guys thanks. He paid around 5k for it, I know alot about ls1's but he kept asking me about it, and since it belonged to cops ( no offense) i didnt know if they altered anything.
And as far as what i meant by the computer being flashed or what not was:
- higher shift points
- tightend shifts
- fuel/air
just little things to make it quicker then stock.

You can pick up chips for 200-300 bucks. Definitely not the big deal that the police try to make out of them. Just type in camaro computer chips into google. Tada, you can have a police cruiser for the same price as a frontend grille.
