Bad ticking sound
i noticed this today when I was gona head out and go clean the camaro.
This morning when she started up there was a loud ticking or tapping sound under the hood from what i could tell... sound was the same on both sides of the engine as well as underneath... The ticking increased as i revved it up... I figured .. id take it for a spin and see whats going on...
when i pulled out , the car wouldnt shift out... just kinda stumbled on acceleration... i thought.. WTF... turned arpund and checked all fluids... normal.. then a few min later the ticking was gone and she drove fine....
What the hell is going on yall?

Did you have good oil pressure the whole time? While driving it around, did it ever dip?
If it was a knocking more than a ticking, it could be a spun rod bearing. If it was, it should also be dipping dramatically in oil pressure.

If your car hasn't had any problems since this one and hasn't had this particular problem again, I wouldn't worry too much about it.
My philosophy: Real problems don't come and go, Real problems come and stay.

its when grime and **** gets around the lifters.. change your oil...
usually if a car is going to have this problem, its when its cold.... the oil is thicker and therefore puts more strain on the lifter..... go to a liter weight oil.. if that doesnt fix it, then new lifters it is..
