where is door sensor?
So here is the deal, i open my driver door no lights come on. I open passenger door the lights come on like they should, i was just wondering where the door sensor is and what i might have to do to fix it.

Its inside the door and is part of the locking mechanism, I got one at auto shack a couple of years ago for $38. Its the door position sensor, and has a plastic gear that meshes with the locking mechanism, thats how it knows the door is open.
New ones are backward compatible, but they are not fwd compatible. I had one out of a 99, but the 2002 has an extra pig tail connection that the '99 model year didn't have.
When you install it be sure to check for the correct gear mesh/placement, a little too far and it doesn't rotate enough to trigger the "open" position on the sensor when the door is open.
