Ls1 camaro steering wheel removal ?? I am working on a 2000 ls1 camaro and i am trying to get the cover off the steering wheel to access the airbag and mounting bolts to replace the wheel. Any suggestions. Thank you!!!

There is no cover. Its part of the airbag. I highly suggest buying a book with instructions for this. Definitely keep your noggen away from the bag and your hands away from the exhaust ports on the back of the wheel when you are working on this thing!

It was actually quite simple. Two torx bits on the back of the steering wheel released the airbag. After unhooking the battery and waiting an hour for the capaciters in the airbag discharge of course. There is a yellow connector on the back of the airbag that needs to be disconnected along with the wire for the steering wheel controls. 15 mintues with a steering wheel remover and i was back in business.
