Unhappy Please help me with klunk noise!!!!!

Please help me im all out of ideas. I have a strang klunk sound coming from underneath my car. I have a 2000 WS-6 with a 6 speed. When i put it in reverse and gain of about 10 mph and put it in neutral and tap on the brakes nothing happens. But when i put it in first and do the same (put it in nuetral and a tap on brakes) it klunks ever time you tap the brakes. It almost sounds like the tranny but iv been under the car checked and checked again and everything is tight!!!!! Could it be my u-joints in the driveshaft or what!!! Thats about the only thing that has a LITTLE play in it!!! Please any feedback would be greatly apprieciated. Thanks for your time.

U-joints or motor/trans mounts. Does it vibrate or otherwise make a sound when decelerating without the brake?

Check out the battery...sometimes the hold down breaks and the battery slides and bangs around. Happened to me once, took me 2 weeks to figure it out!

Ive been in the same boat...its I thought it was my tranny mount aswell, and I just recently got it replaced since it was broken. Then my shop told me that its this bracket called INS&SUPT (idk what INS stands for, but SUPT is support.) Im having trouble finding the correct bracket though. That might be the same problem...

found the problem. So easy. it was just where the torque arm meets the rear end. the 2 bolts that connect the rear and torque where loose somehow. easy fix

When you find and fix an annoying problem like that - doesnt it feel like a brand new car??

What TA are you running? Stock or aftermarket. I've read some aftermarket boilts can get loose, but wasnt sure about the stock one.
