Default Oil Pan gasket MINUS trans

I have my trans out the car and notice an oil leak towards the rear of the pan, Can I take the pan off without dropping the K member with the trans removed?

***EDIT*** it's a 02 ls1 ws6 with the t56

***EDIT*** the answer is a resounding NO.

I don't know if you can get it past the oil pump pick up tube.... Maybe if you jack the engine up.
