1998 trans am not turning over
1998 trans am won't start. Has power no security light. But I turn key and won't turn over. Fuel pump is working. Bypassed clutch safty switch still nothing. Could my starter just go bad out of nowhere?

Sorry, can't help with your issue BUT if that is the only thing wrong with your 1,000 year old Trans Am, you are doing well. Pontiac built them right! Sorry, couldn't resist. Someone will help you out.

It can happen. I would check the wires to the solenoid also. The big wire should be hot (12V compared to ground on the engine block) at all times. The small wire should only be hot (12V compared to ground on the engine block) when you are trying to crank the engine. If those two things check out, you either have a bad or jammed-up starter.
If they don't check out, you have an electrical/relay problem.
