Default A/C whining

I have an annoying whine coming from my A/C compressor. When i turn off the a/c is goes away completely so i know its it. I have tried to add to some r134a and it only took a little from the can. My question is do i need to get the oil changed in it or is this a sign of a failing compressor. It cools fine most of the time its just loud. I think i am going to keep on going until next year when i have money to replace the compressor unless i can have it serviced and make the noise go away. Let me know your thoughts

You don't normally change the oil in an A/C system, but you may need to add some....quickly.

sounds like a compressor to me... it seems that you are guessing how much refrigerant is in the system which shouldnt be done... the amount should never be overcharged or undercharged... The right way to change the compressor is also witch a new orfice tube and accumulator...
