Default Vats bypass not working

Got the dreaded security light on in my car about a month ago and have been trying different resistors to bypass the system and nothings seeming to work. The key gives off 3740 and have got resistors as close as that and the light just stays on? What could be the problem now, kind of tired of this light being on?

When I read about it, sometimes you had to insert the resistors just right until it worked. Or they had to get some "gold rated" ones to get as close as possible.

You did measure the resistors with the same meter you measured the key with, I take it? You also have to make sure that neither wire coming from the Body Control module is shorted to ground. Other than that, you might want to try going up or down one key resistance value.

Thanks for the replys guys, it ended up taking four resistors (gold band) to get 3.74. After putting them on the pigtail and starting the car the light went off!!!
