Post Battery Disconnect Behavior
My vehicle is a 2000 Trans Am, stock automatic drivetrain w/GU5.
After having had my battery disconnected throughout last Saturday while installing a relay harness for new fog lights and the lights themselves, I suspect something has subtly altered in the vehicle behavior.
When I first reconnected the battery, the vehicle did not start up smoothly. It turned over for a few seconds, made annoying coughing noises and died. The second try it started right up and then hunted around until it settled in at about 500 RPMs after a few minutes [the reading was based on the dashboard tachometer].
Since then , acceleration seems "mushy" is the best way I can describe it. At times it almost seems like acceleration is lagging the engine. Is there any training or relearning that needs to take place? Anything to poke at?
