The other day I went to start my car. It did nothing. Everything worked, lights, radio. All but the gauges and dash lights (SES, etc.) didn’t come on and the starter would turn. I keep trying and the key got stuck. It wouldn’t come out of the ignition or turn. It would not release all the way back to take it out (where the indention on the cylinder matches the indention on the steering column). I tried everything to get it loose. Someone suggested tapping the key to see if it would free it or turn the ignition. Nothing. So I turned it with about all I had and it “broke” free. It would do anything. So I assumed I broke it. I replaced it today and had a key cut for it. It is doing the same thing as before. Everything works except the gauges, dash lights and starter. The starter doesn’t make a peep. I am at a loss. The car is for sale and a person wants to buy it asap. I checked all the fuses, which checked out fine. If anyone has experienced this or has a suggestion, please post up.
