Front tires skip when in reverse
When going in reverse no matter how much the wheel is turned, the front tires will skip, slide, jerk across the concrete almost as if something is binding up and making the tires skip. I replaced upper and lower ball joints, inner and outer tie rods, both sway bar endlinks, and the steering rack and still have the problem. I don't have any alignment issues and the car tracks straight. Will the limited slip cause this? Maybe both wheels are spinning at the same rate instead of the inner tire going slower causing the car to pull backwards instead of turn.

How do you know you dont have any alignment issues? what is your toe set at, and what is your caster measurements? you should have received a printout when you got it aligned. You do not have limited slip in your front wheels... it is an aligment issue, regardless if the car drives straight.

As far as the lsd, I've heard the clutches inside the differential will sometimes get screwed but where both tires want to pull the car straight backwards instead of letting it turn. I had one alignment shop pull me in specs but the car would dart all over the road, went to another shop and the car drives beautifully, no darting and steers straight. I did not get a print out of alignment specs.

Yes, they will skip in reverse either direction at any speed. If I reverse very slowly you can see the tires begin to skip and then finally skip. It looks like the tires are binding with something almost as if they are being pushed.
Tires are at 30-35 psi and I first started noticing it a few months ago. That's when I started replacing things and it's only gotten worse.
Another theory for the rear end being the cause. If I'm stopped, and making a turn hard left or right turn, slowly, the rear tires will skip almost like wheel hop then will spin.
Also, I have the latest Kumoho Ecsta XS tires all around and do not like to grip in cold weather.

It could be normal though. Ive heard this issue in others and even other car makes. I believe some tires tend to do this more often than others. Have you try getting other tires and see it it continues to happen?
