Default help with ws6 blinker

Okay so my driver's side blinker, on my 2001 trans am, keeps going out, this is the third time, and each time i take it apart the socket is rotted out, this has happened to me 3 times in like the past 5 months, anyone know what could be causing this problem?

I have the same friggin problem. I just replaced my socket not long ago, and it wasn't a week later it was out again. I believe it's the lens on the outside of the bumper that's not sealing well against the housing. So moisture gets inside and just rusts the socket or whatever.

It is very common for the corner lights and the marker lights to leak and cause the sockets to rust. I took caulking and filled in the gap between the lens and back of the light with a thin layer. I know it sounds redneck but it worked great and you can't see it
