Dripping issue
Whenever I park my car I can hear something dripping and sizzling on my exhaust. I've looked under the car and seen that whatever it is it's dripping down onto my cats (stock exhaust and cats). Whatever it is it's thin and doesn't have much of a smell and is very watery. Anyone know what this could be and if it's a problem?

Are you running your air conditioner? If so i would bet it's condensation from your ac. The water will drip onto the exhaust and sizzle. Mine does this although I have longtubes / x pipe. If you say it is watery and has no smell, I doubt it's antifreeze. Unless you run pure water in your radiator. If so I would check the heater hoses / connections on the passenger side firewall.
Hope this helps

Haven't been running the AC but I hope that's all it is. I know that it still has something under the hood (forget what it is called, but it's that big silver AC Delco thing) operating all the time because it's cold to the touch. The dripping was going more than usual when I got home tonight but that could also have been due to the fact that it was raining tonight although I had also been running the heater which I hadn't done in a while.
I wish we had weather up here in which to use AC right now. Usually May is really nice around here but this one sucked (i.e. nights getting down into the 30's) and June is starting off pretty bad too, though at least it hasn't dropped much below 50.

^ Agreed. The accummulator will get cold when the ac is active, and sweat. When it's hot and humid, you'll really notice it more. The more it sweats, the more water falls off it and drips onto your exhaust. If this is happening in your case, I wouldn't worry about it.

Oh ok makes a lot of sense. I leave it in defrost a lost especially since it has been pretty humid here of late. Glad to know what it is. All the other f-bodies I'm around have no AC so I don't get as much experience.

I'll try my best to tape it. If I make it out alive then I'll post it. We actually have all sorts of dead freeway overpasses around here and I always think of that movie when I see them.

It was nice today and I drove around without the defrost and the dripping was gone so I guess that's the cause. Glad that's all it was. Since it was pure water I wasn't too worried, but glad to have it pinned down for sure.
