Default Trying to replace coolant level sensor.

How the **** is this supposed to fit? I've tried pushing it in, and putting vaseline on the o-rings and it still doesn't want to fit. Any suggestions?

Ok, now I took another look and the o-rings on the new one are thick as hell compared to the factory unit. Is it possible for o-rings to flatten out over time because the factory ones look really thin. If not then is it ok to just reuse the o-rings on the new sensor?

Sounds like the wrong sensor. I wouldn't reuse old orings...ever, and yes old orings do get flat spots over time.

It's not the wrong sensor because it looks the exact same in every way with all of the same connections. With the o-rings, I mean the entire thing is flat all around. Not just in one spot. It looks as if they were made like that. Do they sell different o-rings or something?

The flat all around is what I'm talking about. In cross section, a new oring is round also...with no flat spots anywhere.
I say wrong sensor because of the wrong orings...perhaps mispackaged or something like that. Sure wouldn't be the first time that happened.

I just said **** it for the time being and reused the old o-rings for now. If it starts leaking then I'll just go to a stealership for the sensor next time instead of advance. Thanks for the help though dude.
