Default So i'm fooling around under the hood today and..

Pulling coilpacks on the drivers side.. i move the attached fuel line less than an inch so i can get to the next bolt holding the coilpack on and i see something dripping.. wtf? Smell it.. it's fuel.. greatt looks like my quick disconnect from where the soft line meets the hard line to the regulator on the fuel rail
(As far as i can tell it's the fuel regulator) is leaking.. And it moves back and fourth (up and down the shaft) of the hardline is this normal?

So is it time to replace it or is there someway to fix it?

Thank's in advance let me know if i'm being too vague..

Picture :

So yeah theres the QD on the right with the rubber hose attached leaking.. and its leaking at the QD as far as i can tell.. and what i think to be a regulator on the left?

DON"T DRIVE IT! Have someone whos what they are doing inspect the fuel rail for cracks or wear where that lines attaches too. You need to order a new fuel line! The round object mounted on the fuel rail is called a Pulsator by GM. Its actually a acumulator that dampens the fluid pulses the injectors create as they open and close.

Yeah i'm not going to drive it but is the peice that's leaking actually a quick disconnect? If so i can just go get the tool and disconnect it and check it out.. Also isn't this the fuel return line? or is it the feed line??

This system is returnless. Regulator is in the tank unit.

Oh it definatley moves i mean a slight tug pulls it half an inch you can move it backwards an inch and then forwards the same distance relatively easily i don't exactly know if its supposed to move like this but i wouldn't think so..
Then again i didn't fathom a return-less fuel system either.

I'm almost positive whatever holds it on is either broken or worn out if it's not supposed to move back and fourth.
It's definatley where the fuel came from so ill be going to get a QD tool from auto-zone tomorrow and checking it out.

Thanks so much for the help sorry for being so clueless

exactly what he said. It slides back and forth some but should not leak.
