Help...my car IS starting.
Just got finished with a batch of installs...
Installed TSP headers & ORY, weapon x plugs/wires, and a tuned PCM (thanks frost!).
The problem is when I go to screw the positive wire back into the battery my engine tries to start! No key in ignition, clutch not down (thankfully car was not in gear). Also it's not just the starter turning, the car is actually firing.
I haven't let the car fully start from this...it kind of freaked me out.
First thing I'm going to check when I get home is that I put the starter wires back in the right place (I'm positive I did, but I'm gonna double check).
Car ran fine and has never had starting issues beforehand...
Anyone else ever had this happen?

I just double checked...there's no way to get the starter wires backwards...the negative would never fit on the positive screw.
I guess I'll just take out the starter anyway and see...
I really want to get my car up and running tonight dammit!

Alrighty...it ended being the stupid tiny tab on the positive terminal of the starter was tapping the negative terminal. OMG...call that a stupid moment that I didn't double check to begin with.
Oh well, all's good now.
Just have a slight exhaust leak on the drivers side and seems that I'll need to massage the drivers side floorboard a smidge. It looks like the header only taps when I'm on an incline/decline.
