Bad window motor or wires gone bad?

Bad window motor or wires gone bad?
My passenger side window is stuck open.
If I push the switch to open position, theres audible click coming form the door panel.
But there is no same click sound if i press the button to close to the window.
Is this because of the motor is on its way out that it doesn't have enough juice to lift the window or piece of wiring has gone bad? Thanks!
P.S. I hate these trivial issues...anyone ever wonder of "WTF were they thinking?"

had the same EXACT problem with my window..would go down just fine but going up was a PITA...wound up being the motor..i got away with pounding on the door panel to "jar" the motor and got it to go up..then i forgot it went out the next day and it was stuck down again, wound up taking the door panel off and with a screwdriver and hammer i wacked the motor and it went up..got a couple dorman motors from rock auto and just did both sides.

Yeah I 'm hoping to find a cure for this, Its one thing to replace the motors almost every year.
I don't wana live with the fear of the damn thing not closing when I really need it to.
As of right now, the window is working but I have to REALLY press the button for it to work.
stuff like this makes me want to give up on fbodies and go over to the dark side (late model mustangs).

Lots of solutions...
What kind of motors are you installing? The GM/Siemens design? If so, they are most likely rebuilt.
So far, we haven't seen anyone have a new design Doorman motor go bad on them.
