Default Security Light

When I bought the car I noticed the security light was on, the car had some crazy system in it before as I can see all of the wires were left in it. I got it all figured out (rewired) but the light stays on. I also notice a "clicking sound on the passenger side inside the dash with the key on. Any ideas?

I would try the stereo and electronics sections. They will probably be able to answer this one for you. Good luck

i had a similar problem with my security light staying on and it happened after i installed a new alpine radio. the factory alarm also didnt work after the install. what happened was i connected the yellow and red power wires together like u have to do on some cars. i went back in and seperated them red-red. yellow-yellow and everything was back to normal

Thanks, I will give that a try. Did your security light go out after that?

my security light stays solid i think it has to do with my key fob the chip is slightly bent but it doesn't affect the cars drivability
