Default Wiper go up when turned off!

So I hot off of work today and turned my wipers ons cuz of some dew on the windsheild just long enough to swioe a couple time and when I turned them off they went down and then cycled one more time anwent to the upwards position and just stopped up. I did some searches and found nothing very promisinh. I am wandering what this is so I can fix it. I cant have my wipers standing straight up when I drive so I pulled the fuse and pushed them down for now. Any opinions. Thanks in advance guys and gals!

wiper motor gears could be causing them to stick, this happened to a dodge ram i had, and i just pushed them down and they stayed.
Do the wipers go way farther than they should?

Chances are the wiper transmission or linkage is F'd up.

Try taking the arms off and cycling the wipers from off-high-off, once it "parks" it should be back to normal.

If it is still messed up, you'll likely need a wiper transmission.
