How do you pull the window wiper arms off
So I bought a roller that was completely gutted and am in the process of pulling everything out of my wrecked car to put in the roller. Well I need to swap over the whole wiper arm assembly but can not get them off my car, I have tried everything I can think off. Is there some sort of tool you got to have to take them off?

yea, you pop off the cover at the base of the wiper arm its usually plastic pull it off with a screw driver, then go ahead and loosen up the nut thats holding it on. then go ahead and pull it off, its splined on there so pressure pulling straight up, using a screwdriver, hands, pliers whatever you want and it will pull right off.....

Dealership tried every puller that they had to remove my wipers an had no luck, went to the body shop an the guy just removed the nut an rocked them back an forth an they popped right off. I watched a friend do the same thing an spider cracked his windshield, so be very gentle an patient when doing it. Sounds like you have the same problem I had.

I lift the plastic cover, remove the nut, spray WD-40 on the splines. Give a few light raps with a ball peen hammer around the spline area, being sure not to break the windshield. Using a large pair of vise-grips, rock the wiper assembly back and forth toward the front and back of the car. I've never had a wiper that didn't come off in seconds using this method. The vise grips do not leave marks that you can see later, because of the plastic cover.
