why is my security light on? 98 v6 firebird. i drove it home from school and halfway down my driveway, the security light came on, car was running perfectly normal, didnt die or anything, and is starting back like everything is alright. i started it about a minute after i parked, and it was still on, then put the tops on, and started it again, and it went off. i was thinking maybe the key chip is worn, but what else could it be guys. i'll try it out a little later and if it comes on, i'll try the other key, and see if it comes on then, but til then, hit me

both keys started the car, without the light coming back on last night. i've got to drive it today, so i'll tell you guys if it comes back on and if it kills my car. thanks so far
