Well... I just got stranded at Burger King
Well here is my dummy question of the day. My starter just took a dump. It has been struggling for a while. I guess because of the cam??? Anyhow its dead now, I had to push start it to get home. My SES light is on now. Will a bad starter cause this??

I was wrong about the cam. It ...from what I can tell is the headers getting the starter hot. If the car runs for 30 min or so then I shut it down..the starter doesnt want to turn the motor over. Usually after either letting it sit for a few min or just trying several time it will start. Not this time.....it was dead.

it is an electrical item, they wear out over time. Hell my 22k mile vette needed a new starter this year. I bought it a starter blanket to keep some of the heat from the LT's off of it. (had to be trimed out for the wires to pass thru it without causing a shorted circuit.

My car started doing that a while ago.
I bought a new starter. That I never installed.
One day it just didn't start. I thought the starter got messed up. But it turned out to be the Vats.
I could push start it. The secuirity light was on.
Then one day just didn't start not even by push start.
I'm sure is not the starter.
Check your vats. Or starter relay
