I need to get emissions compliant. im not sure if welding on cats and a tune is enough to pass a sniffer and a extensive visual inspection. i have a 2000 z28, can i use emissions equipment from a 98 or 99 z28?

thanks

The AIR "spider" is going to be somewhat different, as
the exhaust manifolds changed. Whether you can make
it fit "well enough", I don't know. If it's a visual they
may faily you for the long tubes even if they can find
a cat, depending on what their guidelines are and how
seriously they take them. You might look at acquiring a
full stock exhaust setup and keep it for "special occasions"
with the effort of swapping being the price you pay for
a bad choice of residence.
